Our Story

  Kurtis Evans of Uxbridge, Ontario (April 21st, 2001-October 3rd, 2024) lived his life to the fullest making an impression on all lucky enough to be a part of it. Kurtis excelled in athletics and was a great outdoorsman but more importantly a loved family member and genuine friend to all.

 

  During Kurtis's battle with cancer he spent all the time he could in the outdoors and created the Falling Feather Org. a brand based for those who love nature. Conceptualizing and daydreaming about the logo and brand had helped ease his mind from the battle he was fighting. This took his mind to where he felt most grounded and at peace which was in the outdoors with family and friends. The one thing that satisfied him more than his own success in hunting and fishing was watching his friends learn about nature and succeed who otherwise would not have the knowledge or resources without his help. Kurtis’s passion for the outdoors and compassion for others had made him want to start a charity that resembles the way he lived his life.

 

  Kurtis’s love for the outdoors and how positively it affected his mental health during his battle, combined with his love for sharing knowledge and opportunities has inspired the creation of the “Falling Feathers Organization”. Committed to improve the mental health of those experiencing illness through nature by providing guidance and opportunities based on the individual's interests.
